Description:

Rare Character "Space Taters" is an exclusive cask strength single barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey selected for PPLD x Flagstaff Liquor. Aged 9 years and 9 months and bottled at a robust 115.44 proof, this distinctive private barrel selection showcases the bold, complex character of Rare Character's highly regarded KNF bourbon series.

Distilled and matured in Kentucky, this bourbon features an unconventional high-rye mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley. Its extended maturation in historic central Kentucky warehouses develops a rich interplay of sweet oak, layered baking spices, and vibrant fruit characteristics.

The KNF series is recognized for its full-bodied texture, expressive aromatics, and distinctive balance of sweetness and spice. Bottled at cask strength, barrel KNF-055 offers an individual expression of this exceptional whiskey, preserving the character developed throughout nearly a decade of Kentucky aging.

Tasting Notes:

The following profile reflects Rare Character's official KNF barrel series tasting notes; individual single barrels may vary.

• Nose: Inviting aromas of brown sugar, freshly prepared waffle batter, maple syrup, and cinnamon-spiced vanilla cream, complemented by orange marmalade, black pepper, clove, and nutmeg.

• Palate: Rich and viscous, delivering layers of vanilla cream, brown sugar, dried tobacco, and leather. Bright notes of white peach, green grape, and red apple provide contrast, while black pepper adds a lively rye-driven spice.

• Finish: Long and expressive, with lingering toasted oak, spiced vanilla, brown sugar, and warming baking spices balanced by vibrant fruit nuances.
